Students at Life Pacific University Virginia are extremely active in the local community. We recognize the fact that some people would rather see a sermon than hear one. Therefore serving and giving and coming along side people is critical to life in a community. However, we also know that people cannot believe in a God they do not know, and they cannot possibly know Him unless they have been told, and unless someone is sent to share the good news of the gospel how will they ever hear? So we go and we serve. Every other weekend, students go into the community to partner with local organizations and businesses to serve where we live.
Life Pacific University Virginia students, on a bi-weekly basis, work with the homeless, care for the elderly, oversee feeding the hungry, pick up trash on the highway, and respond to needs and requests. All of this is done from the heart, willing to serve, with no expectation for anything in return. The result, of course, is the opportunity to be a reflection of Christ in the community — preaching sermons through caring for and loving on people.
