After a great winter break we have had some amazing events already take place in just a few short weeks! With the terrible snow and ice stopping us from having a chapel service downtown, we had an impromptu worship night right in our Student Life Center. What an amazing time of authentic, spontaneous worship!

After our first week of classes for the second semester, a serious break was needed from the culture shock. Friday night all the Resident Teams came together and played a human sized game of “Hungry Hungry Hippos! John’s team won, with Oscar’s team coming in a close second! It was a great way to kick off the second semester.

We are anticipating some great things happening this Spring semester as we draw closer to the Lord and continue to build community. Don’t forget to check out our social media pages for more updates and to see what’s happening at Ignite!

Then after fasting and praying they laid their hands on them and sent them off.

Acts 13:3

The mission of LPC Ignite is to educate, train and equip emerging leaders to discover and pursue their Life-Mission. Have you ever heard the two lines: “Timing is everything” or “I love it when a plan comes together”? Well, I am sure we all agree, God’s timing is always perfect, and we love it when His plans and purposes for our lives come together. It is then that we are able to step out into the fullness of that plan.

Meet Tara.

A senior at LPC Ignite from New Hampshire. She has been a model student, faithful and committed to the worship team, an RA her Junior year and an assistant in our Student Services Department and Global Mission Department. She received her AA Degree, with honors two years ago at LPC Ignite and will graduate with with her BA in Ministry and Leadership through Degree Completion at Life Pacific College in May of this year – again with honors. Even more remarkable than all of that, in just two weeks Tara will be deploying to Western Europe to work alongside refugees.

When we first met Tara almost four years ago, we learned that this wonderful young woman, who became a Christian half way through her high school days, and who had never been on a mission team outside of the United States – felt a nudge and a calling to be a missionary in the Middle East and Central Asia. And she wanted to go right away. Sometimes the best of ideas and plans take time to formulate and prepare for.

Timing is everything. The plan is coming together. This week in chapel we laid hands on her and prayed. We’re sending her off. Tara is on her way! Please keep Tara in prayer and prayerfully consider financially supporting Tara or the Global Mission ministry of LPC Ignite.
